Second set of 4 cards created from the card kit from Stampin' Up 'Incredible Like You'. In this particular design I did not really change much. I stamped the sentiment in Grapefruit Grove ink instead of Lovely Lipstick as suggested in the instructions and I changed the sentiment as well; as I am always needing lots of birthday cards. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
On the envelope, I stamped my 'Happy Mail' stamp with the duck in Crumb Cake ink. I had used this ink to stamp the delicate stems in the bottom right hand corner. I used Old Olive ink for the small leaves and Grapefruit Grove for the dots.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Inside the card, I repeated the image that I had stamped on the envelope apart from I left the dots out. I love stamping inside cards and on envelopes. On envelopes because it gives the recipient something look at before opening them. My Postman has often commented on how pretty my envelopes look, when he has taken some of my cards to the depot for me. Stamping inside cards continues images on; providing more for the recipient to look at.<br />

When you have lost your crafting mojo and you need some cards quickly; what could be better but a card kit. I purchased this kit from Stampin' Up in the new Spring/Summer 2019 catalogue. I was luckily enough to be given the 'Incredible Like You' stamp set at On Stage Birmingham in November. Some card kits provide absolutely everything right down to the acrylic block for stamping. This card kit however does not. You need the stamp set 'Incredible Like You' and two ink pads (Coastal Cabana and Lovely Lipstick) if you are going to make the cards in this kit just as it states on the instruction leaflet. If, like me you like to change some elements of a card then you can use your own choice of inks etc. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM0bQT19D0j3qAwCSqXM6Tw2EOJt_G3ENQcDCuGa25yIQD3gbubbzpREvxnEAhftoLZQhaQZuPzGRRJN0qVx_0DIOrDk2DcAVVgYKyPZ8ZMc76TFwQzL1YDsx9ARTPZs80J2-MoWl4PEc/s1600/20190117_225035.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM0bQT19D0j3qAwCSqXM6Tw2EOJt_G3ENQcDCuGa25yIQD3gbubbzpREvxnEAhftoLZQhaQZuPzGRRJN0qVx_0DIOrDk2DcAVVgYKyPZ8ZMc76TFwQzL1YDsx9ARTPZs80J2-MoWl4PEc/s400/20190117_225035.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the first card I made out of the kit and there are 4 of this design available. The only changes I made were: I used Lovely Lipstick to stamp the sentiment, I changed the sentiment and I added a red ribbon bow instead of a Grapefruit Grove Baker's Twine bow. I love the over lay on this particular design.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
On the envelope I stamped the flower head in Lovely Lipstick ink and the leaves in Old Olive ink. Both of these images are stamped twice with two different stamp images to create the depth in the final image. I stamped the duck and 'Happy Mail' in the Old Olive too.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
Today (16.1.2019) I spent a fabulous morning with two other crafters making Concertina Cards. <a href="https://www.facebook.com/stampinleeds/?__tn__=%2Cdk%2CP-R&eid=ARCdQuzYVoKbhCNRg3tRhiAIitio-IjPV_9YSmgrv-UCKCsxrTPcercOtZc6iS6lHIEK6zLgz1zJ9Z3T" target="_blank">Anna Pickering (Stampin Up Independent UK Demonstrator)</a> created the class, supplying all the materials and equipment necessary. Below you are some photographs which show what I was able to create. I am so grateful to Anna as recently my crafting mojo had seemed to have disappeared completely; but now I feel that it is back and I am ready to tackle anything again!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEbeDaDSgyehRLLSVpRcA_tI-9-cIjiD77OFcmmUKC3oYV6eAbjQ8-yBpegwc5RcB7MLJuG4dRhyphenhyphenU1WGwumMKkyu455o0TLTZdipW4ogBgyoKfQlA5heRd91xM4KBWO0IFHKRXFN_B60g/s1600/50252807_2311533305746373_6453116017810866176_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEbeDaDSgyehRLLSVpRcA_tI-9-cIjiD77OFcmmUKC3oYV6eAbjQ8-yBpegwc5RcB7MLJuG4dRhyphenhyphenU1WGwumMKkyu455o0TLTZdipW4ogBgyoKfQlA5heRd91xM4KBWO0IFHKRXFN_B60g/s320/50252807_2311533305746373_6453116017810866176_o.jpg" width="320" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgprkPksYnVhFvLVlIE8I1mxZKD6L9Kju_Z2IzVZMazDVS0jW3MRWj5ojWwsBtqshfULd-6ey-MDzNgxNUXo6DOMoMp7VXGSP0b5TekzkzkH4DgMgouRJdH9DOoTKtIe-Qa8WfdiNge2Rw/s1600/49997400_2311533282413042_5922135490248572928_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgprkPksYnVhFvLVlIE8I1mxZKD6L9Kju_Z2IzVZMazDVS0jW3MRWj5ojWwsBtqshfULd-6ey-MDzNgxNUXo6DOMoMp7VXGSP0b5TekzkzkH4DgMgouRJdH9DOoTKtIe-Qa8WfdiNge2Rw/s320/49997400_2311533282413042_5922135490248572928_o.jpg" width="320" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrai81FUO8iuMTQEBt8mAjvB1cOpYNyw8EBRN0xhP-AUmH633AaIYSnOPXbl34IdL4y5cKKG550zAxN2Nh6qVc1UB8fzWBZXZEefijZ1ZOyuMm8UYKSh5iVnrZlYB_jpnbb5FBRElRC4o/s1600/49948138_2311533329079704_3482400242836439040_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrai81FUO8iuMTQEBt8mAjvB1cOpYNyw8EBRN0xhP-AUmH633AaIYSnOPXbl34IdL4y5cKKG550zAxN2Nh6qVc1UB8fzWBZXZEefijZ1ZOyuMm8UYKSh5iVnrZlYB_jpnbb5FBRElRC4o/s320/49948138_2311533329079704_3482400242836439040_o.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
So in order to recreate one of these wonderful cards yourself you will need to use a piece of 12 x 12" coloured card of your choice. Cut a strip of card 4" wide vertically and then score this piece at 4" and 8". Creating a concertina of 3 squares. Repeat this process once more. Adhere the bottom square of one piece of card with the top square of the other piece; creating a concertina of 5 squares. <br />
<br />
This can be decorated horizontally or vertically; completely your preference. My first card using Calypso Coral card stock I decorated vertically but my second was horizontally so that it could be stood up on a surface. <br />
<br />
The Designer Series Paper (DSP) used to decorate these cards was "Botanical Butterfly DSP" which is a free item in Sale-A-Bration (SAB) a promotion through Stampin' Up. On my first concertina card I used the same DSP but I used the reverse of some which does not have butterflies on it. My favourite is the polka-dot particularly. <br />
<br />
Each piece of DSP is cut to 3 7/8" x 3 7/8"; which creates a small margin against the coloured card stock. You could make this wider if you wished but I wanted as much surface of the DSP to decorate. I decorated the first, second and fourth squares on my Concertina card; leaving two squares empty for the recipient to add photographs of their choice. I used a small Library clip to keep the Concertina card closed securely and this also doubled up as a way of hanging the Concertina card up.<br />

My card design using the sketch turned out like this. I used my Stampin' Up 'Delightfully Detailed Memories & More' Cards; along with Blackberry Bliss and Grapefruit Grove card stock. I also used the 'Wood Textures' DSP (Designer Series Paper/Patterned Paper) in between the coloured card stocks and 'Nature's Poem' DSP on the front. The skeleton leaves in Blackberry bliss, Grapefruit Grown are adorable! The sentiment shape was from the 'Memories & More' pack as was the sentiment. As you can see the sentiment would not fit onto the shape because it was set out in line; so I cut up the words and arranged these onto the circular shape instead. The flower embellishment I created using a tiny flower punch and the leaves from the 'I love it! </div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With it being August, I felt that it was important to create a project that projected this fact. I absolutely love strawberries and when the tennis at Wimbeldon is on; 'strawberries' play a big part in that too. The patterned paper I received in my craft magazine along with a page of sentiment tags. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I paired the patterned paper with Stampin' Up 'Lovely Lipstick' and 'Blushing Bride' card stocks. I fussy cut one of the strawberries and stalk and the two hearts were from my craft stash. It is surprising what you can find in your stash when you put your mind to it! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

If you have enjoyed finding out about this project, please leave me some comments/feedback it is always appreciated. </div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Follow Your Dream (Part 2)</u></span><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After the crafting class 'Follow Your Dream' with Anna Pickering, I had some card stock pieces left over. Particularly, I have die cut the 6 white feathers out of the Whisper White card stock very carefully as suggested by Anna so that I could use this in a project. I had an extra white card stock feather, I die-cut an additional 'dream' sentiment out of the middle of the Brown card stock on the previous card as it would not be seen. I also created an extra set of the embossed feathers too.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So to create my own project from 'left-overs, additional pieces' I first cut a piece of gold foil the same size as the piece of white card stock and ran it through the Big Shot in the Rungao 'Circles' Embossing Folder. I prepared a top-folding card base, adhered two strips of gold ribbon at the base of this and adhered the sentiment and feather directly onto the card base. Next I off-set the white card stock with the embossed gold card stock adhered the two together and 'popped' up on foam pads. Finally, the small embossed feathers were adhered to the bottom right-hand corner of the white card stock.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCG-6X36dFNjyT55vpa1xqkvu9Q0ToaQriqPK_kdq9MT2E6ZPPLzuaFe6gy6b3Gu7paLL8ndvXsaY2PhzSwG97OZwPeBqzT67HNO7zyJDIQmOJoRmQbI4v3PjOMi21g_a5xyVZuS_9j9s/s1600/IMG_5039.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiCG-6X36dFNjyT55vpa1xqkvu9Q0ToaQriqPK_kdq9MT2E6ZPPLzuaFe6gy6b3Gu7paLL8ndvXsaY2PhzSwG97OZwPeBqzT67HNO7zyJDIQmOJoRmQbI4v3PjOMi21g_a5xyVZuS_9j9s/s400/IMG_5039.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
It is always useful to be frugal with your craft stash and look after the small pieces as well as the larger ones. You never know when you might need a particular colour or size. If you have enjoyed finding out about this project, please leave me some feedback/comments I really appreciate these.<br />
<br />
Till next time, keep crafting!<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><b><u>Christmas Double Slider</u></b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This project is going to be used for two different challenges; it is always a bonus when this happens because it saves creating a further project. </div>
<br />
Firstly on 24th September, Sandra Riley set a challenge to all on the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.995474610639198&type=3" target="_blank">Stamp for All FaceBook group named the 'Fancy Fold Challenge'</a>. Sandra is also the administrator for <a href="http://cotswoldcrafter.blogspot.com/2018/09/" target="_blank">Cotswold Crafter,</a> the topic for projects set on the same date was "Surprise!" So as when you pull out the sliders two different images appear so I thought this was ideal for this challenge also.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoJ-Z58Xj-3xgV60p0Rf5V6-UVMkXlvgUvynPuEe4rjSkapCriD2mRCzDOAASz2a_z5IvkVqElqacONeSNHY88xCpdQksOqWXeLi93UspD731BBXYJRnhuIBt0ru2yTSL87r_Giedj7Is/s1600/Double+Christmas+Slider+Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="240" data-original-width="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoJ-Z58Xj-3xgV60p0Rf5V6-UVMkXlvgUvynPuEe4rjSkapCriD2mRCzDOAASz2a_z5IvkVqElqacONeSNHY88xCpdQksOqWXeLi93UspD731BBXYJRnhuIBt0ru2yTSL87r_Giedj7Is/s1600/Double+Christmas+Slider+Card.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Lawn Fawn have just bought out dies to create this 'Fun Fold' card but at this point in time I haven't got these. I watched <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MKtsrf9Ljs" target="_blank">Sam from MixedUpCrafts on her YouTube channel </a>and made it from following her tutorial. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Lots of my 'Fun Fold' projects or more difficult projects I have made following a YouTube video, because it is easy to stop, start, rewind where necessary. Or even start from the beginning again. This particular 'Double Slider' was decorated fairly simply using peel-off stickers for the images and the sentiment was die-cut out using a large sentiment die on the Big Shot.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
When making 'Fun Fold' cards or moveable projects make sure that you have provided an area for the sender to write a message to the recipient somewhere. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Please go and spend some time watching Sam on Mixed Up Crafts as she has so many wonderful video tutorials to watch that you will be so inspired. If you have enjoyed this blog please leave me some comments/feedback.</div>

<a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.2180513485561899&type=3" target="_blank">Stamp With Joy FaceBook Group Week 41</a>, card sketch challenge looked like this: </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfRza1iCrMSwWgZCVgfNZ93rSUG3hgK00mVK-Gdqz9bhSizORXh_7bUS2tpm-w7GRkUo0WZsEJOYOABJN3U4pvDfHJl9f2RqRBa5FGL20hYwDRj-699yzf1A1gsYjsBO1BPsJa3R15SNo/s1600/44096308_10217839319081600_2619707085922762752_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="294" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfRza1iCrMSwWgZCVgfNZ93rSUG3hgK00mVK-Gdqz9bhSizORXh_7bUS2tpm-w7GRkUo0WZsEJOYOABJN3U4pvDfHJl9f2RqRBa5FGL20hYwDRj-699yzf1A1gsYjsBO1BPsJa3R15SNo/s320/44096308_10217839319081600_2619707085922762752_n.jpg" width="235" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
My take on this sketch challenge started with the Tufted Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder; which I ran through my Big Shot on a piece of 'Blushing Bride' card stock. I then used my alcohol markers to colour in the DSP (Designer Series Paper) that was gifted to me; but unfortunately is now retired. This I layered on pieces of 'Blushing Bride' card stock; which was then layered on pieces of 'Whisper White' card stock.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The ribbon was from my craft stash. The sentiment die and sentiment were both gifted to me by friends who are also crafters. The finishing embellishment was to add small pearls to each joining section on the 'Blushing Bride' card stock that had been through the Tufted Embossing Folder.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
On Saturday, 6th October 2018 I went with two other friends/crafters to Anna Pickering's (Stampin' Up Demonstrator) house for a crafting session to create a wreath using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. I am also using this for the SUO Challenge which is <a href="https://suochallenges.com/" target="_blank">(SUOC 210): Thanksgiving Table. </a> </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
With a ready-made grey circular structure, we then used the leaf thinlits from the pack to die cut different leaves on the Big Shot with a variety of different types of card stock. (Whisper White card stock, Vellum and Silver Glimmer paper).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The leaves were then adhered to the structure with wet glue and small foam pads. A 1/8" piece of Stampin' Up Fresh Fig ribbon was tied at the top to hang the wreath up from. A Kraft oval tag with a wooden heart was threaded onto a piece of Fresh Fig Baker's Twine and tied in a bow around the ribbon. </div>

<br />
I love how the leaves came out, my favourite leaf die is the intricate one but the small one is great for filling in those difficult spaces. This would also look amazing in Autumnal colours (reds, oranges, yellows etc.) or even Christmas traditional colours (reds and greens).<br />

I love card kits, they are a useful resource for anyone's card stash. But they also give you so much inspiration in that you can copy the instructions as given or you can edit the designs slightly or even change the designs almost completely. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This particular card kit is in the current Stampin' Up Catalogue 2018-2019 and it is called 'Notes of Kindness'. Everything you need to complete 20 cards is available in the kit. There are four different designs to create. </div>

<u><b><span style="font-size: large;">Autumn is Coming!</span></b></u></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So yet again I have managed to create a project that can be used for two different challenges. These two challenges are both though from my FaceBook Group 'Stampin' For All'. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The first challenge was a Design Team challenge and it was set by the lovely Ian Potter on 17th September 2018 with the title <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.992062914313701&type=3" target="_blank">'Autumn is Coming!</a>'.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The second challenge was a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.996364017216924&type=3" target="_blank">Tic Tac Toe challenge</a> set by the gorgeous Gez Carpenter. The Tic Tac Toe grid looked like this: </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Die Stamp Heat Emboss</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ribbon Embossing Buttons</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Folder</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b>DSP Punch Baker's Twine</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4o6MjESvvWzBYrFrhHYml3fdOpva5OMZkGczd-4xtHgk6D0u-ior0dpH5RufoJuZxR4XE4eDHYX6_NLfVHfuKYPQAycpASG_oAjcFQeJqmahsyukpfRd4wk5DEQt0CshVmfGqPYxjEJU/s1600/IMG_5162.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4o6MjESvvWzBYrFrhHYml3fdOpva5OMZkGczd-4xtHgk6D0u-ior0dpH5RufoJuZxR4XE4eDHYX6_NLfVHfuKYPQAycpASG_oAjcFQeJqmahsyukpfRd4wk5DEQt0CshVmfGqPYxjEJU/s400/IMG_5162.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My project took the route across the bottom line of the Tic Tac Toe grid (shown in bold). So initially I found a brown plaid card stock base and trimmed a Kraft piece of card stock as my mat. I used a scrap piece of <b>DSP </b>(Designer Series Paper/Patterned Paper) from Stampin' Up 'Wood Textures' to line a die cut double stitched rectangle in black card stock (this was gifted to me). I used copper <b>Baker's Twine </b>wrapped around the Kraft card stock three times. All these layers were adhered down on each other using my double sided tape runner. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I then stamped one of my Santoro Gorjuss Girl stamps (the hedgehog I felt made it Autumnal). I coloured this image in with my Derwent Pastel pencils (using as many Autumnal colours as possible). I stamped the sentiment 'Hello' and adhered this onto the project using foam pads. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Next I used leaves which had been <b>punched</b>/die cut and gifted to me by the lovely Nina Tanner; to create a very colourful base to my card. With a couple of left over leaves, I decorated the inside of the card as well. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I love how this project turned out, I had in mind what I wanted to do but until it started going together I wasn't 100% certain. Thank you for coming to see my blog and if you liked this project too please leave comments/feedback.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Till next time, keep crafting!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
Having a sketch challenge is often just the help you need as a crafter to get a project off the ground. This gives you the inspiration to put something together. I have been very, very frugal with this particular project. The main card base is one of Stampin' Up 'Gold Foil-Edged Cards and Envelopes.' The DSP (designer speciality paper/patterned paper) was gifted to me through a Pocket Letter swap; I trimmed 4 pieces to equal size and then trimmed 3 thinner pieces of gold foil paper to go in between. I also trimmed a longer piece of the solid gold foil paper to go across the top. I cut a gold foil circle using my Stampin' Up 'Star Burst' punch and die cut a circle (2") to stamp the sentiment 'Enjoy the simple things' onto. These were adhered together and I coloured in the black hearts with my gold pen to match everything else. The big star and 2 sticker stars were from my craft stash as was the thin piece of gold twine that I converted into a small bow to go at the top of the sentiment adhered by a glue dot. <br />
<br />
I would say that this is one of my favourite cards; all the elements are either scraps, recycled or have been gifted to me, the only new part of the project is the card base and envelope. <br />
<br />
Thank you for coming to visit my blog and if you liked my project please leave me some feedback/comments; they do help a lot. <br />

Till next time, keep crafting!<br />

<u><b><span style="font-size: large;">Falling Leaves</span></b></u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On 21st August, Ian Potter set a challenge for the members of the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.981204352066224&type=3" target="_blank">Stampin' For All Face Book group </a>to create a card/project using dies, DSP (designer speciality paper/patterned paper), ribbons etc. No stamps necessary unless you wanted to add them. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have created my design for the above challenge but also have had inspiration from the<a href="http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/" target="_blank"> 'Just Add Ink' challenge (#431)</a> which is a sketch challenge this week. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgrlsf0mbZ_zvItWTIeAPxmfIbNs8-0mVQG7_bIg4iKqvb-Ge9iE2nG7kWWUQR-at9Q4805H5agpTPBPcx9Ha0jks_4Ye_-oW-5k1P3BpuerMn23KeIi8g5uOptRkzhSb6mqeI7l9msEI/s1600/%2523431.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="309" data-original-width="400" height="308" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgrlsf0mbZ_zvItWTIeAPxmfIbNs8-0mVQG7_bIg4iKqvb-Ge9iE2nG7kWWUQR-at9Q4805H5agpTPBPcx9Ha0jks_4Ye_-oW-5k1P3BpuerMn23KeIi8g5uOptRkzhSb6mqeI7l9msEI/s400/%2523431.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This is my card design which is suitable for both challenges. I have wanted to use my Stampin' Up 'Falling Leaves' stamp/die set but as yet hadn't got around to it. I used scraps of Stampin' Up 'Wood Textures' DSP and some copper scrap to die cut the die with my Big Shot. The other two leaves are material and were gifted to me recently by a fellow crafter (Nina Tanner) in a Pocket Letter swap. I did stamp a sentiment from the 'Falling Leaves' set in Merry Merlot ink and I stamped a set of three leaves in Mossy Meadow ink inside the card and on the envelope in order to extend the theme of these project throughout. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Here is my project:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiykpMsF4_Hxq__uqOSiyo_prboRqx2h8uauKZ4yPXwGISE-PBSdxQz8fhk9P4XARF50XrzzOgxHLpg2BxXX1lvaXzf2_t8zx3Xr8hI66wIMb96RsevZkrFW0brlp9sNNf9RMTVXo02-VA/s1600/IMG_5161.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiykpMsF4_Hxq__uqOSiyo_prboRqx2h8uauKZ4yPXwGISE-PBSdxQz8fhk9P4XARF50XrzzOgxHLpg2BxXX1lvaXzf2_t8zx3Xr8hI66wIMb96RsevZkrFW0brlp9sNNf9RMTVXo02-VA/s400/IMG_5161.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
It is a very clean and simple design but I absolutely love it. I love how the material leaves make the copper die cut leaf 'pop' on the page. I am a very frugal crafter and anywhere I can save or use up scraps of my stash I will. The 'Wood Textures' DSP is so versatile, it can be used in many different ways on different projects.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Thank you for visiting my blog, if you like my project please leave me some comment/feedback and I look forward to seeing that you have visited again.</div>

<a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.985473794972613&type=3" target="_blank">Ian Potter set a Design Team challenge for us on Stampin' For All</a> Face Book group - to design a card from one of the current Stampin' Up Catalogues. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am also going to use this same design for the <a href="https://suochallenges.com/" target="_blank">SUO challenge (#SUOC209)</a> this week which is to design a card from the Stampin' Up Holiday Catalogue. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is my design for both these challenges, I used Stampin' Up 'Wishing You Well' stamp set for the image and the sentiment. I used one of the large cards from the Stampin' Up 'Delightfully Detailed Memories & More' Pack which had some Blackberry Bliss colour on it. I then backed the stamped image on Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow card stock. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The image is stamped in Mossy Meadow and Blackberry Bliss ink. I absolutely love how the 'ribbon' stamp stamps out. </div>

My crafty pal, Mandy asked me to crochet these kits that she had purchased. The reindeer, the unicorn, the lion and the giraffe.</div>

I taught myself to crochet when I was first diagnosed as having terminal secondary breast cancer; my hubby bought me some crochet kits to keep me busy whilst I was bed bound. Now, I am able to follow a crochet pattern, only referencing certain stitches or abbreviations on YouTube when necessary. </div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday!</u></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
On Wednesday 8th August, Karen McClure set this <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.964745733712086&type=3" target="_blank">sketch challenge for those of us on 'Stampin' For All' FaceBook site. </a><br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7O3fmXNBrZ_ftRsIaxQ6_KpxyP-JN-aPaoOViPDWXNjN1sRMzP_O9itiYZeBWN9EW0AXUYA_CPju8gweYt85-iqRntELOGQHLBGfsqbVZvkkiXBV6eAnTWT5ClM1IZ0eUXr0iN5AU-bQ/s1600/38820874_1953216654729891_359203903264260096_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="391" data-original-width="500" height="250" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7O3fmXNBrZ_ftRsIaxQ6_KpxyP-JN-aPaoOViPDWXNjN1sRMzP_O9itiYZeBWN9EW0AXUYA_CPju8gweYt85-iqRntELOGQHLBGfsqbVZvkkiXBV6eAnTWT5ClM1IZ0eUXr0iN5AU-bQ/s320/38820874_1953216654729891_359203903264260096_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This is my take on this sketch. I firstly, embossed the card base front with a 'Happy Birthday' embossing folder and then a curved edgelit die on the bottom edge. I added some birthday patterned paper on the inside of the card base that would then be seen through the acetate that I attached to the front panel. The candles were cut from scraps of glitter paper, the candle flames were die cut from a leaf die I had in my stash. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
On the envelope I stamped an image from a retired Stampin' Up stamp set called <b>'Celebration Time"</b>.</div>

<u><span style="font-size: large;">Oh Happy Day</span></u></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I purchased <b>'Oh Happy Day'</b> Card Kit from Stampin' Up because I was in need of some birthday cards very quickly because I had cleared my card stash during the month of September. The cards were used for my individual hand-made card challenge; sent out to friends and family members. On this challenge I also send out #RAK (Random Act of Kindness) cards, cards to say 'Hi' and also to say 'Thank You'. So I need quite a lot of cards every month.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This card set appealed to me because it had different sized card bases available and lots and lots of additional elements to add to the designs. I kept to the instructions generally but I did make some changes to the designs. The main change was the sentiments, I used the stamps provided but I used my own sentiment stamps too. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This card kit makes 20 cards with envelopes, there is an black ink spot, a stamp block, a selection of sentiment stamps and even dimensionals to adhere the elements to the card bases. I loved putting these cards together so much I ordered myself another kit. The cards on the right-hand side are from the second kit I purchased. Again, I made some changes to the card layout, sentiment and use of some embellishments. It was fun to see how the cards could be changed slightly and look so different. <i>(there are still some of the second card kit to complete, so watch this space!) </i></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
On Saturday, 6th October 2018 I went to a Craft Class at 'Create' Cafe in Wakefield. The Craft Class was lead by Anna Pickering and Gemma Pidcock (both Stampin' Up Demonstrators). They called the Craft Class 'Craft Therapy'. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
This first card was created with the <b>'Seasonal Layers'</b> Thinlit Dies. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
These Treat boxes were created using the <b>'Garden Impressions'</b> 6x6" patterned paper. The leaves were cut using the dies from the <b>'Seasonal Layers'</b> Thinlit Dies. </div>

The next two cards were created with the <b>"Little Twinkle"</b> stamp set and builder punch. The patterned papers were from the same suite <b>'Twinkle, Twinkle"</b> on the second card some <b>'Twinkle Adhesive Backed Sequins"</b> were used amongst other stars cut from different coloured card stock using the builder punch.<br />

<span style="font-size: large;"><u>3D Christmas Cards</u></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
From Crafts Beautiful Magazine Issue 325, November 2018 the resources were provided free to make these two 3D Christmas Cards. There are full instructions in the magazine, with also alternate designs that could be chosen. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
These obviously will not go into a normal envelope; so before I get these ready for the Oncology Ward to sell I need to make two boxes for these cards. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Crafts Beautiful Magazine has a great website where you can download patterned papers and templates; even from back issues. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
In November 2017, I watched '<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRTBJXbopHk" target="_blank">The World of JenCraft' No. 40 'Many Mittens Card 1' on YouTube</a>. I made a comment about the project and Jen chose my comment as the winning comment and sent me the completed card and all the elements to create the card myself.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I put this in a special place and only found it recently. I thoroughly enjoyed putting my card together and I will be sending both to the Oncology Ward at St James Hospital for them to sell. I haven't got this particular Stampin' Up mitten dies or edgelit but I have got some similar so I hope to create some more Christmas cards on a similar basis. </div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><u>Pretty Pansy Projects</u></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
From the resources free in 'Making Special Cards Magazine' Issue 11 - 2018 I created these three (5 x 5") cards. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There were these three card bases in the resources, patterned papers, patterned stripes, images of pansies and sentiments. I trimmed the patterned papers to different sizes to create different designs. The only addition I added to these projects from my craft stash was ribbon (purple). </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Even after making these projects, there is still lots of resources left for further pansy projects but there are also the giraffe resources to use as well. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In the magazine, there are many different designs provided for both the pansy and giraffe resources. You can copy the designs exactly or CASE them (Copy And Selectively Edit) giving you a starting point. </div>
</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is a Stampin' Up stamp set called 'Bella and Friends', when I first saw this in the Stampin' Up 2017-2018 Catalogue I fell in love with it as I love critters. It was the first stamp set that I purchased from Stampin' Up. I have just been given three weeks off my chemotherapy regime by my Onocologist as I have been on chemotherapy constantly since June last year. My hubby, Simon and I took the chance to get away. We went to stay in the Borrowdale Gate Hotel, in Borrowdale, Cumbria. It was such a lovely break, a new scenery always makes you feel better. I suffered quite a lot from pain due to not sleeping in a hospital bed but extra morphine did help with that. Pooch went to stay with my Bestie mate, Deana and her hubby Frankie. I wanted to use the Bella and Friends stamp set to create a card for them to say "Thank You". </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
I first trimmed a white card base (8 1/4 x 5 3/4" scored at 4 1/8") and a black card stock layer (5 7/8 x 3 5/8") and the final layer was a piece of Bristol Smooth White card stock (5 3/8 x 3 5/8"). Initially I laid out the stamp images onto the white card stock to see where they would fit. Then I took a photograph with my mobile phone so I knew where they were going to go. I then drew lines with a pencil very lightly around to create the comic book shapes. Then I stamped the images using my Stampin' Up Stamparatus (this is a stamp positioning tool) to ensure that I got a really clean image of the critters as I was not going to colour these in. <br />
<br />
Then I used four different colours from my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Marker pen set for this project. Very carefully I coloured around each of the images and up to the pencil lines. The red I chose as the colour to be used in each of the comic shapes - it was on Bella's collar and heart and the heart shape being held by the parrot. I also stamped an image of Bella inside the card, the one I could not fit on the front design and I stamped the parrot holding the red heart on the front of the envelope to extend the theme to all the elements of this card. Now the pencil lines were outlined with a black gel pen and a ruler (the pencil lines were rubbed out when this had dried completely). I used this also to brighten up the eyes and noses of the critters too. My Wink of Stella was used to give some sparkle to the red hearts and Bella's collars. <br />
<br />
My final embellishment for this card was to stamp the sentiment "HUGZ" from my selection of sentiment stamps and heat emboss this with white embossing powder onto a scrap of black card stock. I adhered this into the top left-hand corner of the front panel of the card. <br />
<br />
My friend loved the card and has offered to have our pooch, Alfie anytime.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
To recreate my project you will need:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>Stampin' Up 'Perennial Birthday' stamp set</li>
<li>White card stock card base (8 1/4 x 5 7/8") scored at (4 1/8"), folded and burnished.</li>
<li>Gorgeous Grape card stock (5 5/8 x 3 7/8") which is adhered straight to the card base.</li>
<li>White card stock (5 3/8 x 3 5/8") which is going to be stamped on.</li>
<li>Gorgeous Grape card stock scraps (5 1/2 x 1 1/4") & (1 3/4 x 1 3/4")</li>
<li>White card stock scraps (5 7/16 x 1 4/16") & ( 1 10/16 x 1 10/16")</li>
<li>Inks: Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Garden Green, Memento Black, Versamark</li>
<li>White embossing powder</li>
<li>Wink of Stella</li>
<li>Purple Nuvo drops</li>
<li>Stampin' Up Floral Affection Embossing Folder - to emboss flap of envelope.</li>
</ul>
<div>
So to the main part of the project - the embossing! On the piece of white card stock cover this with the embossing buddy first; then stamp the floral image using Versamark all over the card stock and then do the same with the leaves image. Put white embossing powder all over the images and heat set. All time to dry. Initially, using a sponge dauber and the Gorgeous Grape ink sponge over the embossed images. Then with the lighter ink, Highland Heather sponge in all the gaps covering all the white card stock. Clean the embossed images with a soft cloth to remove excess ink. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
On the square piece of white card stock stamp the image in Gorgeous grape and Garden Green; repeat this on the envelope and inside the card base. When dry add a bit of Wink of Stella to the floral images. On the other piece of white card stock, stamp the sentiment 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' and also the sentiment 'Happy Mail' on the front of the envelope along with the image of the duckling delivering some mail. This helps the recipient of this card to know that they are not receiving a bill! All the pieces of card stock were adhered using double sided tape and the only pieces that were 'popped up' on foam pads were the square with the stamped images and the long rectangle piece with the sentiment on it.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I added some purple Nuvo drops to the project as extra embellishment.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
To recreate my project you will need:<br />
<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Stampin' Up 'Magical Mermaid' stamp set</li>
<li>White card stock (8 1/4 x 5 7/8") scored at (4 1/8") folded and burnished.</li>
<li>Night of Navy card stock (5 5/8 x 3 7/8") - stencil tone-on-tone with Night of Navy ink the wave stencil all over this piece of card stock.</li>
<li>Patterned paper from craft stash that had hombre blues and greys - looked like under the sea. This was stamped with the sea bed, sea weed and bubbles and then cut into (x3) (5 x 1") pieces.</li>
<li>White scrap card stock to stamp the mermaid in Black Memento ink and some additional seaweed too - leave to dry.</li>
<li>Night of Navy card stock (2 1/4 x 1") - use embossing buddy on this before stamping sentiment 'have a Magical birthday' in Versamark and heat setting copper embossing powder. Punch two holes either side of the sentiment using the Detailed Trio Punch. </li>
<li>Using inks and Aqua pen to paint seaweed and mermaid, when ink is dry adhere seaweed inside card base using wet glue and put Wink of Stella on mermaid's tail and rhinestones in her hair.</li>
<li>(x8) rhinestones, (x5) for Mermaid's hair and (x3) for rest of card. (x1) blue rhinestone for sentiment.</li>
<li>Blue Baker's Twine - to thread through punched holes in sentiment card stock and around card stock.</li>
</ul>
<div>
Putting together the card is fairly easy, all card stock and patterned paper is adhered flat with double sided tape. The Mermaid and sentiment are popped up on foam pads. The only additional part of this project was the envelope where I stamped the top of the Mermaid in the bottom right-hand corner in Black Memento ink and I stamped the sentiment "Happy Mail" and the image of the duckling delivering a letter in the top left-hand corner. (This helps the recipient of this card know that it is not a bill!)</div>

So for the project in photograph (1), firstly we used the brayer to create a hombre effect inked background. Then splattered with some darker inks. Stamped spot splatter (from 'Magical Mermaid' stamp set) and heat embossed this with gold embossing powder. Stamped the word 'BIG' from stamp set and heat embossed this with gold embossing powder too. Stamped a dream catcher in dark pink ink then die cut circular pattern die in Crumb cake card stock and die cut the word 'dream' in Rich Razzleberry card stock. For the final part of this project we had to use the Stamparatus, we stamped the feather images in Rich Razzleberry (x6) each time moving the Stamparatus plate down one notch. Then returning to the top notch, this time with a dauber adding Versamark to the bottom of the feathers and then heat setting all the feathers with gold embossing powder. These were then die cut out using the Big Shot. The putting together of this project is fairly self explanatory but if you need further support please leave me a comment below, thank you. </div>

Photograph 2 - this was a Pool Party card stock base (top folding); with a white layer and some white scraps. So initially, with a Black marker pen free-hand create a border around the edge of the white card stock. Then stamp the sentiment 'FOLLOW YOUR dreams' in Black Memento ink at the bottom of the white card stock. Using the circular dream catcher die, die cut this about (1 1/2") from the top of the white card stock. On the white scraps die cut (x6) feathers (arrange these top to tail in order to get more on the scrap and this is going to be used in a later project so try to keep them die cuts as neat as possible). Stamp the floral image in Black Memento ink, die cut this out and then colour in with Pool Party marker pen. To put this project together initially, the white card stock was adhered to the card base using double sided tape, the dream catcher die cut piece was adhered using a small foam pad cut in half. The floral image and the tops of the feathers were adhered using wet glue.</div>

Photograph (3), this project is all straight onto the white card stock base. Die cut a circular dream catcher in black card stock and adhered down about (1") from the top with wet glue. Die cut a dream catcher with feathers in white card stock and adhered this onto the centre of the black one. Stamp in pink ink (x3) images of the feathers and die cut these out and arrange them on top and underneath the dream catcher. Die cut sentiment 'dream' in black card stock and adhere to card stock. Finally, stamp the word 'BIG' in Black Memento Ink underneath the die cut 'dream'. We made two of this project too.</div>

So we came away with 5 completed cards ready to be put into envelopes and added to our card stash. But it wasn't over there, before I adhered the dark brown card stock on photograph (1) I always cut something from these layers because you cannot see the holes when it is adhered to the top layer so you are being frugal with your card stock. I die cut (x2) of the word die 'dream' which I took home. I also took home the negatives of my feathers from Photograph (2) and some extra embossed feathers from Photograph (1). But I had my brayer and my beautifully decorated pizza box too!</div>

Inside the pizza box was all the elements to make a dream catcher using (x2) of Stampin' Up pearlised doilies. (x2) frames cut out using Stampin' Up stitched circle framelits, a piece of Pool Party Baker's Twine and several lengths of beautiful (1/8") ribbon. All I needed to add to these elements was some wet glue to the doilies and some small foam pads to adhere the circular frames to the doilies. The ribbons were all threaded through the holes on the outer edge of the doilies and knotted. </div>
