Red Shoes
I want to thank Sandi Maclver again for her video tutorial on her YouTube channel demonstrating how to put together a Rectangle Pop-Up Box Card which will fit into an A2 envelope. To understand how to put this project together please follow the link to Sandi's video tutorial and for all the measurement follow the link I have set up to Sandi's Blog Page, thank you.
Ok now I will let you know how I decorated my project. I also need to thank another crafter, Dannielle Rose (whose YouTube channel video tutorials are fabulous). I saw this video tutorial and fell in love with the shoe die and I knew that my best friend would love this shoe die too. Dannielle was so lovely that she die cut me 4 of the shoes in Red card stock for me to use. So thank you Dannii.
I constructed my rectangle box card using a Silver card stock, that included the two little inserts for the centre. I left the back panel double the size of the rest of the panels in order that the shoes would show up against the silver panel. I cut two small pieces of acetate to attached to the base of the shoes and these were adhered to the inserts in the centre. On the back of the back panel I put a piece of White card stock which gave me somewhere to write my greeting. In my craft stash I had black stickers which I used for the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment and the '5' and '0' these were adhered to the back panel at the top. I coloured four lots of '5' and '0' stickers with red permanent marker pen. I also coloured some silver stickers of shoes and handbags with red permanent marker too. These dry quite quickly but do leave them a while to dry before adhering them to a project. These images were put on the box flaps to decorate them in a similar theme to the die cut shoes.
These stickers are useful to have in your craft stash for when you only have small area for a sentiment or your want a sentiment to stand out a bit on your project.
I would love to know what you think about my projects, so please leave a comment. Thank you.
Till next time, keep crafting!
Lorraine
