Delightful Daisy Flowers
On Monday, 19th February I went and spent the afternoon at the Cluntergate Centre in Horbury with the Afternoon WI ladies and Alex Spence (an Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator).
We were all given a package with all the resources we would need to make 18 flowers; 9 in Very Vanilla and 9 in Crushed Curry. Alex explained how to create the flowers using the stamps, inks and punches and we got on with our creating. I have used the Daisy Delight stamps and punch before (I have my own set which I brought with me to add to the resources available) so I could get on independently but also support the ladies around me on my table too.
There was a very happy, busy atmosphere in that room in the Cluntergate Centre for the whole 2 hours, even refreshments had to be brought in, as the ladies were engrossed in the making of their flowers.
The final part of the flowers was to use a 'hot glue gun' to adhere the circular base and the floral wire. Then we could arrange our beautiful flowers in the vase provided. When I got home I added additional embellishments of gems in middles of each flower. It was a really great afternoon, thank you Alex.
Lorraine, this flowers are amazing! I'm glad you had a lovely afternoon. It sounds like a joy! <3

DeleteI love my Delightful Daisy set too, I do not do enough with it actually. This afternoon made me realise that and got my 'crafting juices' flowing to use it more often in more projects. :O)

Pretty flowers! Love how these turned out!
ReplyDeleteThank you Meg, I have never ever thought of making something like this out the a stamp set and punch but they were so effective. I have them on my bedroom windowsill and I love to look at them and at least they will never need watering or will die on me. :O)
