Stamping with Joy Week 6 Sketch Card Challenge

Panda Birthday Card

This is my entry for Week 6 Sketch Card Challenge in the Stamping with Joy Group on Face Book.  I always need plenty of birthday cards so I decided that was what this card was going to be.  

To make this card you will need:  

(8 1/4 x 5 7/8") black card stock folded in the middle and burnished with a bone folder

(5 5/8 x 3 7/8") gold foil

(5 3/8 x 3 5/8") black card stock

3 pieces of gold foil (3 3/8 x 1 1/2"), (3 1/8 x 1 1/4") and (2 7/8 x 1")

3 pieces of patterned paper (3 2/8 x 1 3/8"), (3 x 1 1/8") and 2 6/8 x 7/8")

A scrap piece of white card stock for the panda bears

3 x gold rhinestones

To make up this card you will need to:

(1) Stamp the 3 panda bears with Versamark ink onto the white card stock.  (Only the top half needed so don't worry too much about the bottom half).  Apply gold embossing powder and heat set.  Fussy cut just under arms and then around head and party hat.

(2) Adhere the gold foil layer onto the card base using double sided tape.  

(3) Adhere the black card stock mat onto the gold foil using foam tape (to give dimension).

(4) Adhere the pattern paper onto the gold foil pieces with snail adhesive and put double sided tape on the reverse of all three pieces of gold foil.

(5) Take off all the backing paper of the double sided tape from the 3 rectangle pieces and lay them gently in place on the front panel of the card.  

(6)  Put wet glue onto the reverse of all  3 panda bears and slot these into place behind the gold foil layers.  

(7) When you are happy with the placement of everything push down and smooth out with your bone folder.

(8) Adhere 3 gold rhinestones and a sticky birthday sentiment at the top.  Inside the card adhere a white oval piece of card stock for a written greeting.  This is my project finished!
