Twist & Pop Cards
In my copy of Papercraft Inspirations; the free gift was the resources to create two 'Twist & Pop' Cards. Below is a photograph of the cards I created.
They are a normal A2 size card so they fit into a normal sized envelope. Initially, the white card bases had to be scored and burnished. Then the mechanism the same and finally where the pictures were going to hang. I then chose to layer all the pictures with a dark card stock for the red one and a striped pattern paper for the yellow one. This meant that all the pictures had to be trimmed down slightly so that there was the smallest margin ever around each . The same was done on the front panel of the card base.
Next the pictures were adhered with strong double sided tape onto the card stock that was folded accordion style and the bigger picture was adhered to the front of the card base too. There were two pictures left over in each set so I adhered them to the top and bottom of the inside of the card base.
Coming to the end of fixing these cards together. The main 'Twist & Pop' mechanism has to be adhered to the top back on the right hand side and bottom back on the left hand side of the accordion folded piece of card stock with strong adhesive. This is then folded up and the pointed end is then push right up into the fold of the card base. The triangle part of this mechanism is adhered to the card base top and bottom. Leave to dry, but test the mechanism works just in case it needs a little bit of manoeuvring.
I did not do anything else to these cards because I felt that they had enough going on with the 'Twist & Pop' Mechanism. I did though stamp a sentiment onto the envelopes 'Happy Mail' and the image of the duckling delivering an envelope so that the recipient of these cards know that they are not bills.
If you have enjoyed finding out how I made my 'Twist & Pop' Cards then please leave me some feedback and come back again to find out what I am making next.
Till next time, keep crafting!
