All The Greens

All The Greens

Stampin' FOR ALL had a one day card challenge to create a card using the colour GREEN.  Photographed below is the card I made for this challenge.

To create my card first I cut a White card base (5 3/4 x 4 1/8"), then I cut a Dark Green card stock layer (5 5/8 x 3 7/8").  I then cut a piece of DSP/Patterned paper which was green striped (5 1/4 x 3 5/8").  This was adhered using snail straight onto the Dark Green layer.  Next I cut a piece of Olive green (1/8") ribbon, I adhered this around the bottom of the striped and dark green layer and then I tied a bow towards the right-hand side of the card base.  These two layers were the adhered to the card base use foam pads.

I then coloured in (x4) toy stamped images (which were gifted to me by Brenda Harrison) using my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The highlights were created using both black and white gel pens.
Three of the toy images were put onto the striped patterned paper on foam pads.  The other was adhered inside the card.

Next I trimmed two pieces of green card stock, a dark green piece (2 3/8 x 3/4") and a light green piece (2 1/8 x 5/8") and I cut a banner end into the right-hand side of both pieces.  On the light green piece I stamped the sentiment "Thank You" from Stampin' Up "Petal Palette" stamp set.  I also stamped the sentiment "FOR EVERYTHING" inside the card from the same stamp set.  The two banner pieces of card stock were adhered together using snail (the light green piece slightly off-set) and then using foam pads these were adhered across the ribbon.

That completed the front and inside the card.  Next I stamped the sentiment "Happy Mail" on the top left-hand corner of the envelope.  I also stamped the image of a duck delivering an envelope there too. This helps the recipient of my cards know that they are not receiving a BILL and completed my card!

I would love to know what you think about my projects, so please leave a comment.  Thank you.

Till next time, keep crafting!
