Embossed with Love
This is Week 9 of Stamping with Joy Card Challenges and it is a Sketch Challenge as shown above. There have been many great cards created for this challenge and you will find them on Face Book Stamping with Joy. Face Book Stamping with Joy. My card design for this sketch challenge is below.
I was unsure initially what to do with this particular sketch challenge but I knew that I wanted to use my embossing folders as I have not used them for a while. In my craft stash I found an A2 gold foil card base, so I started with that. I then cut a piece of White card stock with just an 1/8" border all around. I embossed this with a Rose embossing folder through the Big Shot. It was pleased with how this had come out. So I adhered the embossed card stock onto the front of the card with Tear 'n' Tape.
I then cut a 2" piece of gold foil card stock from another of the card bases so that the gold would match. I cut a piece of White card stock again with an 1/8" border. Adhered these together with snail and then adhered them horizontally approximately just over half way down with the Tear 'n' Tape (because it was being adhered onto an uneven surface).
From the sketch there was a piece also vertically, so I cut a piece of gold foil card stock 1 1/2" and a White piece of card stock with an 1/8" border. This piece of card stock I put into a thin embossing folder with flowers and butterflies on it and sent it through the Big Shot. I then adhered this to the gold card stock and adhered the whole piece to the card base vertically. All that was left was a sentiment.
Inside my die folder I keep extra cut die pieces which haven't been used or I had cut extra. I looked inside the bag of pieces and found a gold sentiment die 'With Love' the ideal size for my project. I adhered this to the front of my design with wet glue to ensure that it was firmly in place. This completed my project.
I would love to know what you think about my project, so please leave a comment. Thank you.
Till next time, keep crafting!
