CAS-ual Fridays Sketch Challenge CFC#193 is as above. My design using that sketch is below.
To make my project first I cut a top folding A2 sized card in Black card stock. I cut a piece of White card stock to create a 1/4" border and adhered this on the inside back panel of the card. I cut another piece of White card stock the same size and adhere this one on the back of the Black card base (for the written greeting).
Folding the card base flat, I cut out two circles with my 1 1/2" die on my Big Shot. Using scraps of Black card stock I cut out a further two circles with my 3/4" die on my Big Shot. These I adhered together and glued in between the two circular apertures.
I stamped two dog images on White card stock and fussy cut them around the edge of the ink line. These were then adhered onto the White card stock piece on the inside of the card, so that they could be seen through the circular apertures when the card was closed. Using my Prismacolor Colour Pencils I coloured both the dog images in. I blended the pencil lines with Zest blender and added Black Nuvo drops for their eyes and noses. I decided to stamp out another image of a dog on White card stock for the envelope. I fussy cut around this image, coloured it in with the Prismacolor Colour Pencils and blended with the Zest blender too.
With a White gel pen I created a stitch mark all around the edge of both the circular apertures. Then I cut a small Black card stock rectangle, stamped 'Happy Birthday' with Versamark Ink and embossed this with White embossing powder. I adhered this to the top of the small circles in the middle of the card base. My project was then finished!
I would love to know what you think about my project, so please leave a comment. Thank you.
Till next time, keep crafting!
